About Us

Jim and Debbie are a couple of full-time RVers living in a 25' Airstream trailer. We've been on the road full-time since Feb 4 2008 plus several months in 2007. We usually tow 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year and enjoy staying places a week or two.

We both love the outdoors and used our work Holidays for backpacking. Eventually we figured an RV could extend our range to trails further afield. We could avoid motel fees and we could hike any number of new trails from an entirely new section of the country. A month after buying our Airstream trailer we attended our first WBCCI rally and immediately joined WBCCI, the Wally Byam Airstream Club. Our local unit did a great job getting us on board. RVing soon superseded our backpacking plans.

We spent no retired time living in our marital house. We quit our jobs, sold the house and contents, and moved into the Airstream trailer Winter 2007. We don't know what it might be like to live retired in a sticks and bricks house. Maybe we'll find out someday. We’ve built a mountain camp with courtesy parking on 17 wooded acres in NC’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

We enjoy dropping in to visit our grandchildren and sometimes even enjoy their parents. Our more than eleven years of full-time travels in our Airstream trailer have been fabulous. It's been better than we could have hoped for, and every week brings more exciting and interesting things to us. This year we might start building a house that could support our Airtream travels and parking the Airstream sometimes too.

We participated Spring 2018 in our fifth national caravan with the Wally Byam Airstream Club, Georgia Plantations and More. It was fun to see the southwest part of Georgia. Several more are on our bucket list and we hope for travels in Europe too. The Club has enriched our lives with boundless travel opportunities amongst great friends.
